Alan Rickman RIP
LONDON - Alan Rickman, an admired British actor of the past 30 years, has died in London aged 69.
His death was confirmed by his family on Thursday. Famous roles included the first installment of Die Hard and the role of Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films.
He had been suffering from cancer.

70's TV star Dan Haggerty, who played "Grizzly Adams" has died from cancer at the age of 72.
Glenn Frey RIP
NEW YORK - Founder of the rock band The Eagles, Glenn Frey has died at the age of 67 from complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.
Actors Boycott Oscars
HOLLYWOOD - Filmmaker Spike Lee and actress Jada Pinkett Smith both posted messages that they will not attend this year's Oscar ceremony.
They both maintain that the Oscar awards an 'all-white slate'.
They specifically charged that African Americans were left out of the nominees list.
