CALLANDER, ONT, CANADA - Actor Beau Bridges is in North Bay, Ont shooting a television series with Brooke Shields and took the opportunity to visit nearby Callander near where the Dionne Quintuplets were born in 1934.
The quints (Annette, Emilie, Yvonne, Cecile and Marie) were the first quintuplets born in history to survive through their infancy.
Bridges starred in a mini-series (Million Dollar Babies, 1994) celebrating the quints birth and rise in popularity.
Actor George Kennedy has died at the age of 91.
An actor in dozens of roles back to 1956, most memorably playing the role of "Dragline" that earned him the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor next to Paul Newman in "Cool Hand Luke" in 1967.
He was predeceased by his wife Joan a little more than 1 year ago.
